SECOND-HAND clothing has come to Exeter’s fashion retail centre with the Lord Mayor leading the way.

Cllr Marcel Choules was first in line to answer the call to donate to the British Heart Foundation’s Big Donation Appeal.

The campaign is set to last until Monday, September 13 and invites residents and visitors alike to hand in good quality clothing, shoes, accessories, books, toys and bric-a-brac at a collection point.

People can even donate their unwanted furniture and electrical items and arrange for it to be collected free by calling 0844 412 5000.

Wayne Pearce, centre manager, said: “This is a great opportunity to have a good sort out at home in the knowledge that all your donated items will go to an excellent cause.”
